New Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One Trailer Teases Tom Cruise’s Most Dangerous Mission Yet
In a high-octane teaser to the seventh installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, Paramount Pictures and Skydance unveiled the trailer of “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning: Part One.” Tom Cruise is back in his iconic role as Ethan Hunt, a secret agent known for executing impossible missions and performing breathtaking stunts. The trailer promises fans a thrilling ride around the globe, packed with action sequences that supersede those in previous installments.
The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into the upcoming film’s plot, showcasing Ethan Hunt and his IMF team’s most dangerous mission. They’re tasked with tracking down a fearsome new weapon that could bring humanity to its knees if it falls into the wrong hands. Simultaneously, the team must face dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in on them.
A high point of the trailer is a glimpse into an exhilarating 20-minute chase sequence that was previewed at CinemaCon. The sequence features Cruise handcuffed to co-star Hayley Atwell, racing away from the police and enemies. Other adrenaline-pumping moments include Cruise speeding off a cliff on a motorcycle and engaging in a knife fight atop a speeding train.
Adding depth to the thrilling action, the trailer also shows a heartfelt dialogue between Ethan Hunt, Luther Stickell (played by Ving Rhames), and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg). Ethan is shown to value the lives of his team over his mission, a sentiment his colleagues challenge, given the high stakes of their task.
