Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios’ iconic annual event, has announced its latest scare-fest for 2023: a chilling new maze inspired by the highly anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things.”

After a hiatus of nearly four years, the world of Hawkins, Indiana returns to Universal Studios for another terrifying foray into the Upside Down. This marks the third installment of Stranger Things-inspired attractions at HHN, continuing a tradition that has kept fans on edge since 2018.

The maze will transport visitors into some of the most haunting scenes from the fourth season of the Duffer Brothers’ celebrated series. Fans can expect to tread the eerie corridors of the Hawkins Lab, venture into the chilling environs of the Creel House, and enter the sinister, blood-red mind lair of the malevolent villain, Vecna.

Parkgoers will join forces with beloved characters Eleven, Max, Eddie, and more as they battle against Vecna’s devastating onslaught. The experience promises a chance to escape and join the front line in the fight to save mankind from Vecna’s deadly curse.

“We knew from the opening shots of Stranger Things 4, episode one, that this was meant to be an experience at Halloween Horror Nights,” said John Murdy, executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. “We’re excited to plunge our fans into Vecna’s curse and recreate the iconic, terrifying moments from the show.”

The “Stranger Things” maze joins other IP-based attractions announced for this year’s Halloween event, which includes a maze based on the popular video game “The Last of Us.” Halloween Horror Nights continues to attract a broad range of fans with its expansive and ever-evolving repertoire of horror-themed experiences.

The gates to the Upside Down will open on September 1 at Universal Orlando Resort and on September 7 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Fans are encouraged to book tickets early to enter the chilling world of Stranger Things and other fright-filled experiences at Halloween Horror Nights 2023.
