Although 2014 isn’t over yet and San Diego Comic-Con is over a half a year away, we can’t help but let our imaginations wander ahead to July 2015 where there could potentially be more amazing panels and presentations than ever before inside Hall H and beyond. Read on for a list of the films with the biggest potential to make you salivate inside Hall H next summer…

HallHsign02

Ant-Man
Marvel Studios always manages to be the showstopper of Hall H and with Ant-Man opening right after Comic-Con hits, we expect a huge presence on the streets of the Gaslamp.
Peyton Reed (director); Adam McKay, Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer (screenplay); Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, John Slattery, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Gregg Turkington, Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Jr. (Release Date: 7/24/15)

Pixels
Columbia Pictures went the TRON: Legacy route last summer and opened their own arcade based on this upcoming comedy. With the film opening right after SDCC this year, we expect more pixelated fun to be had.
Chris Columbus (director); Tim Herlihy, Tim Dowling (screenplay); Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan (Release Date: 7/24/15)

Poltergeist
20th Century Fox usually gives good panels in Hall H and with this remake opening right after the convention, it is likely we may get some early scares.
Gil Kenan (director); Sam Rockwell, Jared Harris, Rosemarie DeWitt, Saxon Sharbino, Kyle Catlett, Kennedi Clements, Jane Adams
(Release Date: 7/24/15)

The Fantastic Four
Will 20th Century Fox / Marvel Entertainment / Marv Films’ reboot be embraced by Hall H. We think it will get FOUR stars.
Josh Trank (director); Jeremy Slater, Simon Kinberg (screenplay); Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell
(Release Date: 8/8/15)

Hitman: Agent 47
20th Century Fox has another Comic-Con-friendly film and we think it will KILL IT in Hall H.
Aleksander Bach (director); Michael Finch, Kyle Ward, Skip Woods (screenplay); Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware, Thomas Kretschmann
(Release Date: 8/28/15)

Oh, and of course, there’s a little film called “Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens.”
Disney usually takes every other year off from San Deigo when they have their own D23 Expo, so between the Star Wars Celebration in LA in the spring and Disney’s own event in August, we don’t know how generous JJ and The Mouse will be in San Diego, but we expect SOMETHING as this is as concentrated as their audience gets under one roof.
J.J. Abrams (director/screenplay); Lawrence Kasdan (screenplay); Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker
(Release Date: 12/18/15)

But Comic-Con isn’t all about the films that are opening at the time of the event. The best panels, the ones that surprise us, that excite us, that bring Hall H to its cheering feet are the ones we least expected. Here are some of the big films that open in between Comic-Con 2015 and 2016 that have strong potential to shake up Hall H. Which ones are you most excited for?…
