Phew. OK. I Can Sleep Now. BOOK OF MORMON Main Cast Stays Through Feb ’13!

This past December, during my third viewing of Trey & Matt & Bobby’s THE BOOK OF MORMON, I had a moment of sadness. It was at the end of the show, during one of its funniest and most crowd-pleasing moments. While the audience applauded, I stood there thinking to myself this could be the last time I see this amazing original cast perform this show the way it was meant to be seen. And how it would be a shame that anyone who discovered this, the best show in Broadway history for my money, would never know the joys of Josh Gad’s subtle gestures before he Man’s Up, the chills of Andrew Rannells as he Believes, and the heartbreaking emotion of Nikki M. James wishing to journey to the far away land of “Sal Tlay Ka Siti.”

Well, I’m happy again thanks to the great news that we’ll all still be able to enjoy this production with its original cast for another year!

Playbill reports “The original principal cast members of the Broadway production of The Book of Mormon have extended their contracts with the hit musical for another year. Tony Award nominees Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells, who star as a mismatched pair of missionaries at the center of the story, will remain with the production along with Tony Award winner Nikki M. James, Tony nominee Rory O’Malley, Michael Potts, Lewis Cleale and Brian Tyree Henry. All seven actors are contracted to appear in the musical through February 2013.”

So this basically means that every one of you need to get on Kayak immediately and begin your flight and hotel search to NYC and see this at once! Tickets may be sold out but the theater has a daily lottery and standby line so there are many ways to catch this show the right way! Head over to BookOfMormonBroadway.com for more details!
