So it’s closing in on 4am and I just got home from the first ever midnight showing of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World At the New Beverly theater in West Hollywood. In attendance were Edgar Wright, Director of Photography/Legend Bill Pope and various members of the cast (Johnny Simmons, Aubrey Plaza, Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhaba, Brie Larson, Mae Whitman, Mark Webber, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Anna Kendrick and Brandon Routh).
Like Edgar Wright tweeted when the night was over – it was truly “magical” and hopefully the start of a lifetime of SP screenings/reunions – just exactly the environment this film was designed for.
Check out some of what went down at the New Beverly this past Friday, including the story behind the best $14,000-for-one-second ever in film history and the definitive answer to just where exactly the super-hard-to-spot numbers 5 & 6 can be found!
Here’s the full cast shortly after midnight before the screening (apologies for lousy audio in spots!)…
CHECK OUT THE ENTIRE POST-SCREENING 3AM “DRUNKEN Q&A” AFTER THE JUMP!…
Thanks to YouTuber officialmeshell for the up-close awesomeness of this footage!…
