It’s too bad Back to the Future couldn’t live on as a franchise. I mean, I love the first one and really like/respect the second one, but was hoping it would live on like the new Ghostbusters video game. I’m sure the inevitable reboot will come and tarnish the whole thing, but until then, at least we have these toys and prop replicas!

Case in point, the Marty McFly cap from Back to the Future 2.

While it’s no hoverboard, this one size fits all cap would have been perfect when I wore hats 15 years ago. I probably never would have taken it off. For those that are trying to place it, this was the futuristic ballcap worn by Marty McFly when he visits 2015. So yes, you too can be as cool as Michael J. Fox in the future, which is infinitely better than be as cool as Eric Stoltz now.

According to replica manufacturer, it features “material that shimmers and changes color.” Also includes a Velcro closure, so you don’t have to worry about it breaking in the back when your giant head tries to slip it on. I have to get one, even if it hides in the closet waiting for me, beckoning to me as if begging me to slip it upon my head just one last time…

Still not convinced. How about this awesome Back to the Future 2 DeLorean with lights, sounds and pop out “hover” wheels?

I got this for my birthday, though it only arrived the other day and I love it. While technically, I don’t have the exclusive version with the “fly out” wheels, I’m happy enough with my mini-time machine! It has working headlights, neon tail lights, dashboard and even a flux capacitor that… well… fluxes. It also has authentic movie sounds, lots of ’em.

The wheels roll, so I can push it across the room, hoping to reach 88 miles per hour in my apartment before hitting the wall! The box is cool too, with the inside of the bottom of the box depicting a road with fire streaks. Now that’d be cool, a DeLorean that could leave fire streaks behind! As for the lights and sounds, check out this video to see what I’m talking about:

One day, I’ll be able to have a giant 3D Jaws hologram bite my head, but until then, at least I have these things to give me comfort. Feel free to buy ’em below if you’re feeling the need!
