Avatar TRAILER.
At what point in time did studios start calling full trailers “Teasers”? This first Trailer for AVATAR is not a Teaser, as Fox is calling it. A teaser is something like the first look we had for T2 – you remember, the specially shot minute of the T-800 endoskeleton being assembled which made its debut a year before the film opened. Or the classic teaser for HOOK, following the map and giving us our first taste of the awesome new John Williams theme. Or the “Yabba Dabba Doo” tease we got for THE FLINTSTONES in front of Jurassic Park. Those are teasers. This is a goddamned Trailer and we should be referring to this as TRAILER A.
