As commented below in the Shia article, I’m a fan.  Think she’s be great, especially as a Nazi villain.  If she had played Willie Scott, the Jar-Jar Binks of the Indiana Jones (then) trilogy, that movie woulda been ten times better.

Yeah, i guess i don’t mind this.  Blanchett is cool.  The only thing i would say negative about it is she is The Blanchett.  There are preconceived notions.  No one really knew Karen Allen or Kate Capshaw or Alison Doody.  So yeah, I guess i think a Blanchett-esque unknown would have been better.  I also think bringing back Ke Huy Kuan as Indy’s successor would make more sense as well as be much much more tolerable.  Or, at the very least, a digital River Phoenix.  We havta be at the point where ILM can produce a digital River Phoenix, no?  I saw some new Transformers clips this weekend and, i gotta tell ya, everytime they cut to the LaBouff i get less and less psyched for this movie.  And that’s coming from a Michael Bay FAN.

    From IGN – –

March 19, 2007 – With Indiana Jones IV slated to go before cameras this June for a summer 2008 release, the other big question besides casting is what the long-in-development sequel will be called.

A slew of titles have been rumored over the years, depending on what tale the project’s then-screenwriter had concocted. Now EmpireOnline.com claims it has heard what the filmmakers—including director Steven Spielberg, exec producer George Lucas and Paramount Pictures—have in mind for the final title.

And that new rumored title is …

Indiana Jones And The City Of Gods.
