Never-Released INFOCOM ‘Hitchiker’s’ Sequel!?

Written and designed by game designer Steve Meretzky and sci-fi author Douglas Adams, the first ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ INFOCOM text-based game was a mega-success upon its release in November 1984. It quickly became INFOCOM’s bestselling game, selling over a quarter million copies in the two years after its release. It ultimately became INFOCOM’s second-biggest seller of all time under ‘Zork.’ Even before they’d finished writing the Hitchhiker’s game, Meretzky and Adams were considering two sequels based on the second and third books of the trilogy.

Sadly, there were never any sequels produced by the company. BUT… that does not not mean they weren’t in development! And now, thanks to the fine chaps at Waxy.org, we not only get get details on the in-the-works sequel “Milliways: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe,” but we can play the prototype!!
