Ivanna Sakhno Teases Bigger, Deeper Ahsoka Season 2: New Villain Chapters Ahead
Ahsoka Season 2 is now filming and things are heating up in a galaxy far, far away. Ivanna Sakhno, who plays Shin Hati opposite Baylan Skoll, shared that the upcoming season promises to be bigger and more intense than the first.

Filming started this spring across the UK and fan favorite Shin Hati is back under the harsh glare of Peridea’s shadow. Sakhno teased that character arcs will dive deeper this time, exploring Shin’s journey since her dramatic departure from Baylan at the end of season one .
It was clear at Star Wars Celebration that Ivanna Sakhno is emotionally invested in Shin Hati’s journey. She told GamesRadar+ filming is “in the middle” and described Season 2 as “bigger and even more in-depth.” “I’m really excited for people to see it,” she said, adding that returning to the role “means the world.” On working with Rory McCann as the new Baylan Skoll she enthused, “Watching him has been a gift” and praised how McCann uniquely honors Ray Stevenson’s original portrayal. Baylan and Shin’s bond carries more nuance than simple master and apprentice roles. Their dark mirror reflects some of Ahsoka’s own path and we can’t wait to see that on screen.
Plot nuggets from Star Wars Celebration suggest Season 2 will lean heavily into the Mortis gods and the realm known as the World Between Worlds. Expect mysteries, droid battles, Force conflicts, and the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger. Every piece of concept art and tease hints that the writers are pulling all the strands of lore together to build a multi-world epic.
Season 1 introduced complex morals and Force users on shifting sides. Season 2 looks set to double down with even more blurred lines among factions, bigger visual scope and emotional stakes. Shin Hati’s arc is particularly exciting, survival among bandits, searching for purpose and maybe becoming a leader in her own right.
Sakhno herself has been busy. Between action scenes on Ahsoka and playing a lethal android in M3GAN 2.0, she has sharpened her physical edge, Krav Maga and Tai Chi included. She’s bringing that extra preparedness back to Peridea with a fiercer and more dynamic Shin Hati.
Star Wars fans are already theorizing about duels between Ahsoka and Baylan, trips into Force realms and giant droids standing between galaxies. Remember, this season is only eight episodes, but with this cast, scope and tone, every scene counts.
The inclusion of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Admiral Ackbar’s return, and a showdown between Rebellion and Imperial remnants only raises the bar higher. What’s more thrilling is Dave Filoni is at the helm as showrunner, weaving together lore from Clone Wars, Rebels and beyond.
We can already feel the Force building. With Shin Hati’s redemption arc, Baylan’s rebirth, cosmic mysteries and starship battles, Ahsoka Season 2 is shaping up to be the event Star Wars fans have been craving. Stay tuned for more cast reveals, trailers and teasers. The galaxy is expanding in all directions.
May the Force be with us until it returns.
I’m excited to see where they take Shin’s story next—Ivanna Sakhno brought a lot of depth to the character. Season 2 sounds like it’s going to get intense.
