A World Without Thieves

I’ve had enough. I’ve been giving too many Hong Kong films a chance. A friend of mine recommended this after I told him how much I like
“Dog Bite Dog.” He also suggested “SPL,” which I’ll be reviewing in a few days. I no longer trust my friend.

I don’t want to waste time on this. Basically this is an overly dramatic thriller about to a Bonnie and Clyde type couple who find a naive boy
carrying a lot of cash. It turns into an Oceans 11 type film based on a moving train with a bunch of thieves trying to get to the kid first.
The only thing going for this film is that it reminds you of Hitchcock’s “Strangers on a Train.” That’s it. Not worth your time
unless you really love the old school Hong Kong style. If you seriously want to see this film, contact me. You can’t get it on Netflix.

OH…this is hilarious. The film is co-produced by Nokia (check out the poster) so text messaging is a big part of the plot. SPOILER – The lead sends his last text as he dies. I laughed as his dead body slumped over.
