Megan Fox Voices Toy Chica in ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’

Megan Fox is logging back into the animatronic game. In the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, she’ll lend her voice to Toy Chica, one of the killer robot birds creeping through the pizzeria. It’s a casting twist that is equal parts eyebrow-raising and oddly fitting. After all, when you’re known for being “plastically perfect,” what’s one more robotic shell to call your own?

Megan Fox Voices Toy Chica in ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’

The announcement dropped at New York Comic Con during the Blumhouse panel, where the studio revealed Fox would join a sequel already boasting a killer cast. New voices include MatPat as Toy Bonnie and Kellen Goff as Toy Freddy, while returning cast, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard, are set to roam the haunted corridors once more. FNAF 2 is being helmed again by Emma Tammi, so the steely, unnerving tone of the first film should remain intact.

Let’s be clear: Megan Fox doing voice work for a horror animatronic is both hilarious and sinister. She’s got a reputation for being glamorous, glossy, and photoshopped to within an inch of her life. That reputation practically invites a joke: “You’re already synthetic, why not voice a robot?” But beneath the glib jab is real potential. Voice acting can surprise you; with digital processing, distortion, and layering, her performance might become something we don’t even recognize as her. She may disappear behind the mechanical screeches and metal beaks… and that’s good for a horror flick.

The inclusion of Fox might boost visibility. Her name still has star magnetism. For fans who might not normally check out a FNAF sequel, “Megan Fox as Toy Chica” is a talking point. There’s also an ironic symmetry: she’s voicing a character that is meant to be amusing, creepy, and artificial. It’s a role that invites her to lean into the uncanny valley, rather than escape it.

Plot teasers reveal that the new film picks up after the events of the first, with the animatronics’ legends embellished, horrors forgotten and remembered, and new terrors waiting in the shadows. Will Toy Chica turn into a primary antagonist or whisper treachery when the lights go out? Fox’s casting doesn’t resolve that, but it adds intrigue. Will her performance be just glossy veneer, or will she pour menace beneath the plastic? Horror is all about what’s unseen.

Of course, skeptics will roll their eyes. “She’s not known for voice work.” “Her acting is superficial.” But in horror, sometimes the unlikeliest casting delivers the biggest chill. Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice seemed a wildcard. Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands was a gamble. So maybe Megan Fox as Toy Chica could be the secret weapon.

If Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 leans into atmosphere, robotic hollers, jump scares, and dread, then Fox may vanish into the role. The real test will be whether her signature becomes the scream, not the name. If that happens, critics might stop making the “too plastic” joke. Until then, let’s enjoy the delicious irony: the actress famous for looking like a doll is now voicing a killer animatronic doll. December 5, 2025 can’t get here fast enough.
