– Aura Entertainment has acquired horror-comedy film Coyotes, starring Justin Long and Kat Bosworth, set for release in October.
– The film, which tells the story of a family targeted by a pack of coyotes in their Hollywood Hills home, also features Mila Harris, Brittany Allen, Katherine McNamara and Norbert Leo Butz.
– Long and Bosworth, who are married off-screen, are also serving as executive producers for the project alongside a large team including Tad Daggerhart, Nick Simon, and Christian Mercuri among others.

Aura Entertainment has secured the rights to the horror-comedy feature, Coyotes, set to hit the cinemas on October 3. The news was first reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter. Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, following their previous collaborations on Barbarian and House of Darkness, take the lead roles in this new project directed by Colin Minihan. The cast is also packed with notable actors like Mila Harris (Mary), Brittany Allen (Dexter: Original Sin), Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters) and Norbert Leo Butz (A Complete Unknown).

The plot of Coyotes revolves around a family living in the Hollywood Hills who suddenly find themselves in a fight for survival when they are ambushed by coyotes in their own home. The film is set to premiere at the Fantastic Fest on September 20.

The director’s chair for this venture was filled by Colin Minihan of Grave Encounters fame. The screenplay is the brainchild of Tad Daggerhart (The Expendables 4) and Nick Simon (The Pyramid). The production started under the banner of Capstone Studios by producers Nathan Klingher, Joshua Harris and Ford Corbett for Gramercy Park, along with Jib Polhemus for Source Management and Production.

Coyotes promises a remarkable horror-comedy experience, says Aura Entertainment CEO Marc Goldberg, with a distinct unsettling feel. He expressed his full confidence in the potential of the film to leave a lasting impression on viewers, attributing it to the talents of Justin Long and Kate Bosworth. He also mentioned that this type of high-octane, brazen, genre-centric film aligns perfectly with Aura’s philosophy of the global movie-making.

The pair’s real-life chemistry takes a step beyond the screen; they got married in 2023. As such, the film represents another milestone in their creative journey together.

Aura Entertainment is gearing up for more releases. Among them are Code 3, featuring Rainn Wilson, Lil Rel Howery, and Aimee Carrero, a sex-education comedy Doin’ It led by Lilly Singh, and the action movie Trap House starring Dave Bautista.
