However, previous films in the franchise have starred Emily Blunt, who is Krasinski’s wife in real life. Their children in the film were played by Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. Speculation of a third part has been floating for a while as Krasinski and Paramount flirted with the idea. Earlier in 2022, the filmmaker declared his intentions of a 2025 release, but those plans didn’t take off. Meanwhile, he worked on another project for the studio, titled IF.

The film franchise, conceived and contrived from a script by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, has reeled in over $900 million worldwide across three films. These include the two Quiet Place films directed by Krasinski and the spinoff featuring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, directed by Michael Sarnoski, named A Quiet Place: Day One.

The story arc of the films unfurls in a world where the earth has been invaded by alien monsters. These creatures, though sightless, are high-sensitive to noise. The humans have to live in silence to prevent detection and avoid being killed.
