The Flash Movie Trailer Reveals the First Official Look at Michael Keaton as Batman!
At long last, the moment that DC fans have been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived – the arrival of The Flash movie. After much anticipation, Barry Allen’s big screen debut has finally come into sight with the release of its first poster and a brand new trailer at the Super Bowl.
This summer, audiences will finally experience the film in theaters, but the excitement has already started with the unveiling of the second trailer. This follow-up to the first look teaser released at DC FanDome in 2021 gives fans an even better look at the latest addition to the DCEU.
The Flash movie promises to be different from its predecessors, with a plotline that revolves around the theme of “Worlds Collide.” Barry Allen, portrayed by Ezra Miller, travels back in time to save his mother, ultimately leading to the creation of a new DC Universe. James Gunn and Peter Safran will oversee this new universe. Before Barry reaches this new world, he will encounter new heroes, old villains, and familiar faces.
One of the biggest highlights of the new trailer is the return of Michael Keaton as Batman, 30 years after his last performance in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns. Keaton will act as a mentor to Barry, guiding him through the new timeline and helping him take down threats like General Zod and Faora-Ul from Man of Steel. The trailer also offers the first glimpse of Sasha Calle as the DCEU’s Supergirl, who will join forces with Keaton’s Batman, Barry Allen, and another version of Barry to form a new Justice League and defeat the movie’s villains.
While the threat of Zod and Faora-Ul looms, there are also rumors that the real villain of the film will be the Dark Flash as Barry’s altered the timeline to save his mother… but we’ll learn more and see more when the film releases this summer!
