Thanks to the lovely folks at Los Angeles Times Hero Complex, we were able to see some flicks that we consider classics: a John Carpenter double feature THEY LIVE and HALLOWEEN, and Roland Emmerich’s alien invasion blockbuster INDEPENDENCE DAY. A wonderful experience with interesting Q&As with both Carpenter and Emmerich, but it helps set perspective as to the types of movies made in a different era. WHAT do we mean? Give a listen!
