Monkey Island is Back!
One of my favorite old-school adventure games has returned: The Secret of Monkey Island! It’s available currently for Xbox Live Arcade and PC, and I’ve already flew through the game. While I love the humor of it, I’m reminded that point & click adventure games really need to change to work in today’s world. Having to walk your character from screen-to-screen in most situations is a drag, and non-context sensitive buttons seems a mistake. I can’t imagine a new gamer picking this up and getting anywhere with it. It’ll be interesting to see how this does, as I’d love for more of them to get released as well as all new adventures in these worlds!
