Just as I experienced it…..

Yes, as Cybergosh put it…it took me right back to our infamous bike ride.

All in all, I really like this film for the pure visceral entertainment. It’s exploitative as all hell… but you know, almost all entertainment is.

There are shots, like the shot from the helicopter, looking down at the fire bombing of the creature that is mind-blowing. My biggest gripe is why they didn’t go for the accuracy that “I Am Legend” went for. C’mon!!! That fucking subway station looked like a set from the Planet of the Apes television series. And as a New Yorker, I was trying to figure out the topography THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME!!!! It drove me crazy. But hey, cool idea, cool execution… they didn’t need the Central Park scene… that was overkill.
