The Call of Death
I had an elaborate short film I was going to make for a film festival, but alas, it didn’t go as planned. After numerous tech problems, I finally just whipped this up in a couple of hours. It’s nothing great, not even remotely as good as it could have been, but at the least the suckin’ is short. Still, in the interests of sharing, here we go.
If I had a real comedy actor and patience, I would have milked the joke a little more. I had a script where this went on for days, but it was still only 2-3 mins long. In the end, I think the 1-min version works best, but I’d rather have been played by a young Jim Carrey.
love it love it love it
I honestly had a big smile the whole time – reminded me of a Mr Show sketch – I loved it too!
Well, thanks gents. I “phoned” this in, and despite shooting for 20 mins, the first take is what I ended up with. Of everything, I was most proud of the audio manipulation, which I handled through Premiere. I’m sure there’s better things out there, but I was impressed with it. The short itself, not so much, I’m capable of better—but I’m glad you dug it.
hahahahah – Dak Delgate at his best!
HA, I love it. Eric, way to go!
