MAYBE!!!

Share

I’m through three levels now in the single-player campaign and it’s got a big meh from me. The third chapter was the best, loved the new vehicles, but all of the bad guys have been right out of the previous games.

Multiplayer is another thing– it’s great, frenetic action even if I suck ass at it.

Halo 3 is not going to change the world or make you a better person. It’s just a really good shooter. If shooters aren’t your thing, next week everybody will be talking about something else…

But if you are going to be playing, my gamertag is Fatboughl 2.

Huzzah!

I didn’t mind that I wasn’t seeing a lot of new enemies.  It’s not the greatest single player game (I enjoyed BioShock more), but there were a lot of cool twists, etc. that I enjoyed.  I love when it feels like you’re part of a larger conflict (firefights going on around you, marines in warthogs racing around with you).  No other game does that well.

Graphically, I prefer Gears to H3, but they’re different games, so I can live with it.  The facial animations aren’t very good though in comparison.

A friend made a good point about the game; it’s the first Halo that doesn’t have a bum level.  Each chapter is unique, you don’t retread the same old shit, and that’s pretty cool.
