So those two guys were arrested for putting up the ATHF displays around Boston. Of course, this is a dream come true for those guys, who are fun nerds in a truly stupid and surreal situation. Here’s how they deal with a press conference after their arrest–they insist they will only take questions on 1970s’ hairstyles.

See, I hold nothing against these guys for doing a cool marketing stunt. And I can’t fault them at all as it’s been weeks and they’ve existing in multiple cities… so Boston can go F itself.
BUT… once they realized what kind of a panic they inadvertently threw the city into, that’s when they need to grow up just a little.
Do I think they should be imprisoned for a stunt gone awry? Not at all. Do I think they should serve 2-3 months in jail for blatantly mocking something for 15 minutes of fame when fully aware of the distress it put on the city? Absolutely.
You all know me, I’m all for the artist, but there are boundaries, and when you have a city’s protective workforce out disarming light brites instead of stopping people from raping your sister, you apologize or you shut up.
These guys really rub me the wrong way, too.
Although i’m all for crazy publicity stunts like this. But yeah, i don’t like the cut of their jib. That’s why i haven’t even posted anything about this.
