George Lucas: Visionary, Dreamweaver plus Actor
Our main man has delivered the news… movies are for suckers, and the small screen is where it’s at. Huh? From Lucas himself in this newly posted Variety article:
“For that same $200 million, I can make 50-60 two-hour movies. That’s 120 hours as opposed to two hours. In the future market, that’s where it’s going to land, because it’s going to be all pay-per-view and downloadable.”
So basically he wants to concentrate on making television shows and made-for-TV movies, which I don’t really have a problem with. Also as an aside, the way he dismisses Indy 4 makes me feel that’s never going to happen.
