Perhaps the first dancing video game that Cybergosh will actually play, Konami (Castlevania, Contra and Karaoke Revolution, oh my) announced that they’re collaborating with Disney video game division, Buena Vista Games, to create Disney themed games. The first game announced is a Dance Dance REvolution hybrid with Disney characters and music. I can’t wait to jam to the “It’s a Small World” theme.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced with Buena Vista Games (BVG), that BVG will contribute a portfolio of Disney intellectual properties in a creative collaboration for a series of video games published by Konami. The first title to be released under this agreement is Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix, a PlugÂ’NÂ’Play product that combines the high-energy dance gameplay of KonamiÂ’s hit Dance Dance RevolutionÂ® (DDR) video game franchise with beloved Disney characters and music.

Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix lets players experience the exciting action of DDR with all the fun of Disney. The game features Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, and dance remixes of popular themes such as Â“ItÂ’s a Small World,Â” Â“Zip-A Dee-Doo-Dah,Â” and Â“Mickey Mouse March.Â” As a PlugÂ’NÂ’Play product, Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix connects directly to a television set without the use of a game console, delivering an intuitive experience full of competition and choreography with a custom Disney dance pad. Dance Dance Revolution is the only video game in which players move their body to upbeat tunes while allowing them to exhibit their own innovative flair and original dance moves.
