From The Orlando Sentinel — Broadway may be destroying Spider-man’s good name, but Universal intends on improving it. Universal’s Islands of Adventure’s Spider-Man ride, a staple at Islands of Adventure since the park opened in 1999, will be reanimated in high definition. The basic story will be retained, said Thierry Coup, senior vice president of […]
With the departure of director Julie Taymor and the seemingly endless stream of injuries and woes for the Broadway show, who better than George Takei to save the day?
Julie Taymor is no longer directing Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark! This is the first intelligent move the Producers have made since they began this mess years ago. Bono and The Edge may be writing new songs, but still, I fear it may just be too late to salvage at this point. This show should […]
I hate this show beyond words but seriously, now it’s time for us to stop making fun of it. As of today this production is officially just sad. It’s crossed over a line where now it’s just being mean to make fun of the pathetic little thing. The $65 million “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” […]
Seems like little has changed over at the Foxwoods theater since I witnessed the biggest disaster in Broadway history two months ago. Today, Topless Robot has a great recap of a new review for Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark over at The NY Times. Check it out – everything they write is the truth. This […]
12-ish yr-old kid next to me to his mom during intermission: “Mom, can you please do something to keep me awake?” Lesson learned: Let us never underestimate the value of Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr to U2’s awesomeness. Bottom line = Spidey never belonged on B-way. U2 should not be writing horrible emotionless showtunes […]
The potential biggest disaster in Broadway history begins today. I won’t be seeing it until a month from now – so if you’re on the other side before then, let us know what you saw! SUNDAY NIGHT UPDATE: This just in” “All $65 million of the new Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” took […]
What the hell do you think? I like Bono & The Edge and nothing else about this. Previews begin November 15th. Check out the first song “Boy Who Falls From The Sky” after the jump! (Has a bit of a Batman Forever Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me vibe in the chorus)….
A fire danced through the Knight in its opening day but not for the three day. Nolan’s overhyped over-earner holds on to its all time three day total of 158.4 as New Moon and its 140.7 settles into the third biggest opening weekend take behind Spidey 3’s 151.1.
Marvel.com has revealed the first details for the upcoming (and newly-titled) “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark“ Broadway show. Get ready to experience the exploits of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in an entirely new, exciting way when “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark” opens on Broadway! Mark your calendars now, thwippers, “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark” opens […]
I really disliked Spider-Man 3, though I did beat it for achievement points and tried to beat other missions, until fighting off lizards proved boring. But this new revamp of the combat system for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows looks sweet. And you can play as Venom. I still care about that!
Cool footage from the Comic-con panel and more up at the Spider-man 3 Weblog!
If you can’t wait to see it in front of your nice fresh Supes, go HERE.
Check it out on YouTube, before the lawyers have it taken down: UPDATE: Info on the source material here, torrent here. – Roger
In a recent interview, ex-Marvel CEO Avi Arad, let loose the dogs of war and enhanced my excitement and erection… and by that I mean this happened: iF: There are four villains this time, Venom, Sandman, and Green Goblin and when is the fourth going to be revealed? ARAD: Right we have four villains. Pretty […]
