Black Sheep Update!

Fantastic news — the Weinstein Company and IFC Entertainment have picked up the North American distribution rights for Black Sheep! There will be a DVD release here in the states, which yes, was inevitable. What I really want is to catch this flick in theaters, but alas, not sure if that’s meant to be. Supposedly, […]

I Am Legend Update

I know I’m one of few excited for this Omega Man remake with Will Smith, but got some more minor details the other night from a friend who is supplying some of the hardware for the movie. Poor Will Smith will keep himself safe from the “hemosites” by passing the time in his NYC apartment, […]

Battlestar Guy Goes Bionic

I don’t know what cast-contigent order means… does that mean that they need to get some kick-ass cast in place in order for this to go into pilot status? Someone from the TV world chime in. But NBC Universal has given a cast-contigent order for Bionic Woman, to come from Laeta Kalogris and Battlestar Galactica’s […]

New 30th Anniversary Star Wars figures

While I’m sure I won’t buy a single one of ’em, I know Junktape won’t be able to contain himself, and Cybergosh will lose his mind stressing over wanting to collect them all. I shouldn’t share, but it is Star Wars. “Beginning in January, Hasbro will be issuing 60 repackaged and revamped 30th Anniversary Star […]

The Best and Worst Movies of 2006

Inspired by Cybergosh’s re-imagining of the dot/no dot list, I figured I’d offer up some flicks (that I’ve seen) and what rocked or not for me. The Best and Worst Movies of 2006 begins… now. Just to cut to the chase, overall, the BEST movie of the year was… Superman Returns

Ending the Old Year with Something New

So something I’ve been playing with, now that I’ve got my head on straight, is photo galleries. Imagine a world where you could just dump photos in a location and they magically come to life, sized correctly and ready for public consumption? Wait no longer! Here’s the first stab attempt at creating dynamic galleries. I […]

Cybergosh Learns About Himself Through New Mamet Book

In his new Pantheon book, “Bambi vs. Godzilla: On the Nature, Purpose, and Practice of the Movie Business,” Mamet doesn’t mention many of Hollywood’s lower life forms by name – apparently wary of jeopardizing his movie career. But he does tell delightful tales of the town’s excess. “Asperger’s syndrome helped make the movies,” writes Mamet. […]
