Why So Serious?

Stupid dumbass Heath Ledger. Why oh why do you hurt yourself? Oh yeah, Heath Ledger is dead…. but I suppose The Dark Knight lives on, just as The Crow lived on (and rocked!).

HD-DVD Loses a Battle, Remains in HD War

UPDATE: Universal’s HD-DVD exclusivity has ended, taking another HD-DVD advantage away. To date, Warner Bros. has been publishing both HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs (and in some cases, like with 300, a superior HD-DVD to Blu-ray product). Now things have shifted: “On the eve of the CES, Warner Bros. delivered what may turn out to be […]

I enjoyed I Am Legend

But the book storyline is so much better. From Wikipedia: The story takes place between January 1976 and January 1979 in Southern California. The novel opens with the monotony and horror of the daily life of the protagonist, Robert Neville. Neville is apparently the only survivor of an apocalypse caused by a pandemic of bacteria, […]

Dan’s Favorite Pic

I don’t remember what this was from; some teen self-help infomercial, but it was late at night and catching this kid out of the corner of my eye, I thought it looked kinda like the fathead version of Dan. Dan, naturally, hated this video, and I found the clip again and wanted to throw it […]

No Pleasure in this Treasure

Maybe I need to see the first one again, but in watching National Treasure 2, I found myself captivated by the mystery but infuriated by the characters, direction and the constant reinforcement of unnecessary explanations. Movie by movie, Nic Cage degenerates into a parody of himself, making it more and more awkward to watch. The […]

Ghostbusters 3-60

The next Ghostbusters tale will be told on video game consoles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like it will be the game that we saw a while back in those YouTube videos, but hopes are still high. It’s in the December issue of Game Informer, and is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii and PC […]

Another Halo Movie – MUST SEE!

Watch this… it’s the closest thing to a live-action Halo movie we’ve got. Only qualm: Gorillas in armor look stupid, and I don’t know how they can ever pull that off convincingly, but this is some wicked cool video. http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/last-one-standing/halo-sweeps/halo-sweeps.html

Halo: The Future of Gaming

Watch this video, but give it at least a minute (or skip a minute in). It starts with a refresher on past efforts, but quickly degenerates into a pretty hilarious look at a world united under Halo. http://www.loadingreadyrun.com/videos/view/228
