Let me say this, Igor Presnyakov is my new favorite artist. His cover of Lady Gaga’s Pokerface was incredible, his take on Michael Jackson’s Thriller inspirational, but it is this rendition of the “He’s a Pirate” theme from Pirates of the Caribbean that has forever made him legend to my soundtrack-loving heart. Hear for yourself:

What is happening?! As a huge fan of the original Mortal Kombat, and of course the games, I immediately took notice of this: a high-production live-action test scene from what looks to be a new R-rated Mortal Kombat movie. It’s just a test to show studios what can be done, but what a test! Look [...]

Wow. Director Alex Popov has done what the Brothers Strauss failed to accomplish: Create an awesome Aliens vs. Predator fan film. Sure it’s got its share of hammy acting and cheap special effects, but this is a fan film; not a Hollywood production. Someone get this guy a contract. The rest of you make sure [...]

Oooh oooh ooh. When I first heard about this movie I thought it was a lot lower budget than it seems to be. Maybe there is a reason to see Iron Man 2 in theaters after all? This teaser trailer for next summer’s Super 8, a movie produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by JJ [...]

Actually, I wish I was mad, because then I’d have a real strong emotion after seeing Iron Man 2. Yet, after sitting through two hours and two and a half action scenes, I’m left kinda meh. I liked the first Iron Man, but didn’t love it the same way everyone else did. I thought Robert [...]

One of the best parts of Grindhouse was its trailers, and the one for Machete was quite wonderful. In fact, I’d rather watch the trailer 100 times than Deathproof one more time. NOW, the Machete movie is on its way and it’s more than a goof, it’s an experience. A la The Expendables, the cast [...]

It’s more than a month overdue, and for that we apologize, but we only recently learned of the passing of Ping Ping, the world’s smallest man. We miss him already, and we never even got a chance to meet him. We do however have this tribute video:

I picked up Gentle Giant’s Admiral Ackbar bust really cheap the other day and was. Of course, in sharing such a find, it elicited a host of “It’s a Trap” responses from people. So I went looking for fun Ackbar videos, enjoying the Robot Chicken sketches, and then found this one that I hadn’t seen. [...]

I’m corny, sure. I love the original Pokemon cartoon theme, despite never really getting into Pokemon themselves. Must be a generation thing. That said, I absolutely LOVE this Pokemon video from the guys at College Humor. Frickin’ hilarious. See why:

Star Wars Uncut is almost ready for primetime. The project is fused with 15-second clips created by fans who essentially remade Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, but preserved the existing audio. It’s a mix of live-action, animation, LEGO stop-motion, action figure, dogs and other wacky elements and it’s absolutely amazing. Check out the [...]
