The new Nike Air Mag sneakers, as featured in Back to the Future Part 2, were revealed today and no, they do not self-lace. Instead, the shoes contain a glowing LED panel which recharges itself between its 5-hour battery life cycle. Nike and eBay will be auctioning off pairs with contributions going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, but I gotta say, I’m a bit sad.

How hard is it to make a self-lacing shoe? Or a hoverboard for that matter? Or flying cars? What’s wrong with the future??? I guess we’ll get this sometime in 2015.
