‘Dealing’ With A Small Indie

Recently I was insane enough to accept an invite to a cast and crew screening of a no-budget digital movie. As I feared, it was another entry into the mumblecore genre, but… I’m pleased to say I enjoyed it. The film was funny, an odd little digital treat.

The film is called , and the makers bill it as ‘a comedy about depression.’ It does deliver on the title and I found myself laughing quite a bit. It’s far from perfect (takes itself too seriously from time to time) — but overall it’s funny and stupid in a good way. No doubt, the French will hate this movie. I hope it finds a life in the world of festivals.
