Halo 3: ODST Will Let You Enjoy Online Halo Again… for a Day

Halo 3: ODST

I’m looking forward to playing 3: ODST because I really just want a new single-player game. 3: ODST has a somewhat open-ended single player campaign, with voice actors like Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin and Tricia Helfer (mmmm Caprica Six) and should help flesh out some of the universe. It’s amazing how this expansion to 3 has grown into a full $60 retail release though and here’s why: Half of the new game is the multiplayer maps for 3 and a new Firefight mode, which sounds awesome, but revolves around 4 player co-op against endless waves of enemies (think Horde mode from Gears of War 2).

I tried going online with Halo 3 a few months ago to see how I would fare and was quickly reminded how my skills had depreciated. These people are machines, and it’s no fun being killed by machines. So it’s exciting to be in at the ground floor, but as this video parody depicts, it won’t last long.
