Director Michael Bay says he wants original Megatron voice actor Frank Welker for the character of Soundwave in TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN.

Welker: “Well it is a little too early to be specific but I will say yes and no. No, I have not been approached by the movie folks but yes I am still involved in the franchise…more on that later.”

And from Bay himself…..”I think I’m going to pursue Frank on Soundwave.”

If this turns out to be true, it could be the first sign that this sequel will be the ‘less of a disaster’ that i’m hoping for come late June!
