Spidey is still my favorite fictional character of all time, so I’ll play this game for sure. These videos look awesome, but there’s no way to tell if the controls will work. Spidey 3 looked great too. What’s unforgivable is that Spidey 3 was worse than either 2 or Ultimate. I was so furious that I returned it for my money back.

Plus, Activision PR are liars and cheats. I’m sure they all are, but the crap they pulled during my play session for Spider-Man 2 was shameful.

I really don’t know much about this game other than what I’ve seen in the teaser video, and now this combat video. In Ultimate Spider-Man it was logistically tied to buildings, etc.? I vaguely remember that concept, and gotta be honest, not sure how important it is to me as long as the game plays fine with or without it.

The combat looks awesome, totally. The thing about this trailer that worries me is that it looks like they’ve gone back to the “web-swinging from nothing” mechanic they had in the first Spider-Man games, not the system in which it has to attach to a building or something, which worked so very, very well in Ultimate Spider-Man. I could be wrong about that – I’ve read very little about the game – but it just looks like his webs are shooting straight up into the air when he swings, rather than at a building, or something.
