Disney Dream Portraits

I didn’t catch these when they originally were out there, but stumbled upon them now. Interesting stuff. Jessica Biel as Pocahontas? Hmmmm… I don’t know about you but if Mikhail Baryshnikov flew into my window, I’d hit him with an aluminum bat! However, I can’t blame him from sneaking in the window to say hello […]

Verne Troyer Just Got Scarier

He has his own sex tape. Ewww. A little clip inside (though most likely this will be pulled from the intertubes soon). I feel icky.

Prince of Broadway Review

“Savvy marketing could lead to substantial arthouse play.” Damn straight, someone buy that shit, yo! I realize none of us have reviewed the film yet, but for what it’s worth, I dug it. It looked great, had some good laughs and wonderful character moments, and surprisingly accessible for a Bake Snaker joint. I didn’t love […]

UC Berkeley Band Marches Up Some Games

I love marching bands; one of my favorite MP3s is of a marching band tackling Europe’s “The Final Countdown” but this is unbelievable. A little hard to see since it’s recorded upside down, but give it a good 20 seconds or so and you’ll see the game mastery here:

Help ‘Wanted’ review

Whoa, so I just got out of the experience known as Wanted. I wish I hadn’t seen that second longer trailer, as some visual gags were a little spoiled for me, but overall, I enjoyed this movie a lot. It’s FULL of problems, and has plenty of Eastern European idiosyncrasies but whew, I feel both […]

Take a Peek at the ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’

Billie Piper is certainly not Rose in the Showtime series, Secret Diary of a Call Girl. It’s full of naughty language, naughtier parts and probably the WORST music ever to be used anywhere. It bounces between annoying “Sex and the City”-inspired tunes to, get this, a “Midnight Run”-esque riff (episode 6, about 2 mins in, […]

Nicolas Cage house for THE KNOWING – Stephen King Movie!!

Located in Mount Macedon, Australia. It took them 7 weeks to build, using all new materials which they then “aged”. All the stone work is just fiberglass. It’s built in some rich guy’s front lawn and they gave him $100,000 to borrow the space. Closer-pic after the jump.

Why I’m Excited for Lord of the Rings: Conquest

I like games… I like them lots! And I enjoyed the Star Wars: Battlefront games a lot, so hearing that those developers, Pandemic, are pushing out a Lord of the Rings game makes me all excited inside. And this first look, full of orcs and Balrogs and Mumakil takedowns, makes me oh so giddy.

Why I May Die In August AKA Disaster Movie Trailer

Ye olde rockthefaces put it best: “Now they’re just lifting lines from other movies entirely (the whole “Was that your foot?” thing).” Sigh. Soon these movies will come out the day the movie they’re spoofing debuts (“HULK Movie”).

New Clone Wars Trailer

Sam Jackson and Christopher Lee lend voices. Looks like it’d be fun on the big screen but definitely aimed college essays for sale at kiddies.

Unfortunately, it’s not available on Netflix (you have to buy it for $20). Shit, I’d rather blow all that on Lord of the Rings Pinball! Still, sounds really cool. SOURCE: Official Tilt movie site

Why Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Might Be Good

I really disliked Spider-Man 3, though I did beat it for achievement points and tried to beat other missions, until fighting off lizards proved boring. But this new revamp of the combat system for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows looks sweet. And you can play as Venom. I still care about that!

Guitar Hero: World Tour and Call of Duty: World at War First Looks

For those interested in rocking out at home with fake instruments OR setting fire to the Japanese, check out these two video game previews I did at an Activision event recently. Both look pretty good, and there’s some wild stuff going on with Guitar Hero: World Tour that makes me lean towards picking up that […]
