Amazing New Video Technology MEETS Destroy All Apes

Share

Okay, this video is stupid, but this new Asterpix technology is pretty cool. You can layer notes over video, including embedding hyperlinks, etc. So imagine a music video that say showcases a shitload of monsters, and then each monster has a link that can send you to a fan page, or IMDB page, or whatever. As a test, I layered in some comments (public, mind you; you can go in an add your own as well!) to the classic DESTROY ALL APES. I almost outed the ape, but I left that for others to add. wink

UPDATE: Trying the embed trick that Nat shared:

This technology is awesome – added a few of my own.  Just wish the icon that appears could be more obvious.  Very hard to notice when there is something to click on.  I had to scroll back a lot.  Very cool…

If you open up the tab on the left, you can see all the hot spots and it will auto-find the clip where the spot is.  Yeah, could be visually better… but what’s amazing is that I tagged your head in the first shot and it follows it throughout the shot.

eros: you can also link from the text to the hotspot. mouse over the hotspot, right click to get the emebedded link. then paste the link to the text you want to link from in your blog.

    enjoy

Wow.  Thanks Nat.  That is REALLY cool.  So people can deep link into a specific part of a video?

When you’re a billionairre, can you still drop by and leave us nice notes? wink

That is really cool.  Oh, and this is the short that got Rommel an audition to play the adult Duncan Kikaida.
