“The Dark Knight” Returns – Batman Begins Sequel Announced

The sequel to Batman Begins has been formally announced. The Dark Knight is the official title of the film re-uniting director Christopher Nolan and Batman Christian Bale. As those who’ve seen Batman Begins know already, the Joker is a focal point of this new flick, and it’s been earlier reported (and now confirmed) [...]

New Line’s Next Big Trilogy Gains Nicole Kidman

Described as a “more adult Harry Potter” series, the His Dark Materials trilogy is under way at New Line Cinema, and recently has gained a starlet. Gal pal, Nicole Kidman, is joining the cast as it seems, a villainness.
I haven’t read it, but it’s been recommended to me over and over, so [...]

E3 Evolution in the Works

A release to follow later today, but according to reports out there from various news sources, E3’s about to go in a different direction. I don’t believe the show is gone, but it will definitely be a different beast in its next incarnation. Publishers cite low returns in visibility and that they’re better [...]

Oh My God, Pirates!

Johnny Depp is box office gold, unbelievable. Hopefully, he won’t parlay this into more Libertines, but amazing that Pirates is STILL GOING at $20.5 million this past weekend — topped only by Miami Vice at $25.2. For the full details on the box office this weekend, click away.

The Descent – Trailer

I caught the UK version of The Descent, which I recommend over this one as the ending is superior, but highly recommended. Amazing work, and a huge step up from the guy who brought us Dog Soldiers. In any case, for those looking for The Descent trailer, here it is. The movie comes [...]

Bill Murray on American Chopper

You’d think Dan Aykroyd, being such a gearhead, would be on this show. But apparently, starting August 7th, the Teutle’s at Orange County Chopper build Bill Murray a custom bike inspired by his Caddyshack character, Carl Spackler (and by extention, his favorite passtime, golf.) The show will air in the US Discovery channel.

Miami Vice

I have to admit, I wanted to like it more but no matter what, it’s ten times better than Collateral. Script is mildly compelling. Besides the look, the Li Gong/Colin Farrell relationship is probably the most interesting thing about the film. Their trip to Cuba sequence is actually my fave part of [...]

“No Underwear in Space”

Well, Lucas told Carrie Fisher there was no underwear in space, and it looks like there was some proof at Comic Con. The link below to Gentle Giant’s new (and awesome) slave leia statue — which was more than a little revealing, as this video will attest…
